Avalanche

Upon entering the valley where we were going to start skinning from we noticed a large avalanche on a north east facing slope. It appears to have been a natural slide that we believe occurred today or late yesterday as the debris field was quite soft. We performed a beacon check but did not find any signals although the debris field was large enough to be out of range of our beacons. The crown varies from over 10 feet to 3 feet and appears to have moved across multiple terrain aspects as well as causing a sympathetic release adjacent to it. The crown was probably 1000 feet in length and it ran a long distance down.
