Snowpack

Observed snowpack on S aspect below treeline in the Upper Cameron Chute highway path. The snowpack consisted of several layers of facets separated by melt-freeze crusts. The upper couple of melt-freeze crusts are thin and decomposing to facets. The upper 3cm of the snowpack consisted of small near surface facets and surface hoar. See snow pit profile for more detail.
