Weather
Light snow showers fell for most of the trip, temperatures peaked in the low twenties around noon and began noticeably dropping afterwards. Winds were light with no transport observed on any of the highest ridgelines.
Snowpack
The snowpack is generally supportable on skis and forming in a right-side up manner with mostly 1 cm rounded grains near the ground (4F). Hardness decreases slightly (F) closer to the surface. The biggest concern is the surface hoar layer 25 cm below the surface and what it will take to bring that into play, the next few days of incremental loading may do it but a larger event is likely needed.
