Weather
Clear, warm, and mostly calm.
Snowpack
Mostly dry ground below 10,000ft. Patchy snow begins above that with consistent enough coverage for on-snow travel around 10,500 feet. A decent overnight freeze provided a supportable 1-inch-thick crust capping otherwise wet snow up to about 11,200 feet. Boot pen, however, was to the ground. The crust grew to 2 inches thick above this elevation and was supportable in boots until 1 PM or so. Underlying snow is wet or moist to the ground except on north-facing terrain above 12K. The dust layer is mostly not apparent in the alpine, but is only buried an inch deep.
Avalanche
Older loose wet avalanches coming out of steep rocky terrain.
