Weather

Started sunny, clouds increased as storm moved in around 2pm at 9400ft on Rabbit Ears Pass

Snowpack

Snowpack was not reactive to much on south and east aspects today at 9400ft. Nearly all the compressions test got no results (CTN on 10 tests) but did get two CTs that failed on a buried graupel layer about 35cms down. Extended column tests did not show any failures (ECTX). Sun crusts up to 2cm thick were found on south and east aspects. New snow might have some trouble sticking to the old snow surface. No woomphing or collapsing was observed.

Avalanche

Rollerballs, pinwheels, and small point release slides visible on steep south facing road cuts. Beyond that, no other activity was observed.
