Avalanche
Two slides were triggered from a party traversing along the Wasatch ridge while approaching the Why Couloir of Bear Creek. The first slide was triggered from an unintentional cornice drop while the group was standing 15 feet from the edge of the cornice. The second was from the third skier to ski the slope. A third avalanche was triggered on a northwest aspect with a ski cut at the top of the Why that was about one foot deep taking out the most recent storm snow for the entire length of the chute.
