Weather
3" of new snow with 0.2" of water content. Sunny skies and warming temps early gave way to mostly cloudy skies with periods of light snow with an additional trace by mid afternoon. Southwest winds gusting to 30-40 mph caused some blowing and drifting snow.
Snowpack
Minor new snow amounts combined with moderate southwest winds built isolated, shallow fresh storm slabs. Easily triggered, but not enough snow involved to pose a threat (D1, northeast at treeline). The new snow bond to old melt freeze crusts was good.
Avalanche
No natural avalanche activity observed along the highway corridor and in the adjacent backcountry.
