Snowpack

NTL west aspect- 50 to 110cm HS, with a pencil to knife hard mid-pack layer and about 25cm of depth hoar on the ground. BTL west aspect sheltered from the wind- 80cm HS with 4F- mid-pack and about 25cm of depth hoar at the base.

Avalanche

In more sheltered areas at 11,000' on west aspect we triggered a SS-AS-R1-D1-O 57cm thick slab 50' wide that ran 150'. HS 77cm and the depth hoar was 32cm deep and the avalanche failed at the top of this layer.
