Weather
Clear, beauty of a day. Light to moderate winds SW. Moderate temps.
Snowpack
North and East slopes were loaded ATL. West ridges were all scoured, walked down the west side of Chalk Pass. ATL/NTL there was some supportive snow but BTL was total crap. Lots of whoomphing, cracking and settling in the trees. The only supportive snow was previous snowmobile tracks.
Avalanche
The NE facing sub-ridge of Hancock Peak had numerous small avalanches in the chutes. R1-D0.5. Most looked natural but there were snowmobile tracks high pointing in some of the chutes, hard to tell if they were pre or post slide. Probably from the last several days and approximately 5-7 different slides. Additionally, Mt. Arp had a smaller older slide visible on the SE shoulder.
