Weather

23 degrees, overcast, increasing winds WSW

Snowpack

Depth 135cm with new/old snow interface at ~25cm deep which was the failure layer for an ECT at 21, did not propagate but Q1 shear. This failed on the grains pictured—they’re trying their best to round but not doing it yet and tomorrow’s cold temperatures won’t help. The bottom ~20cm was depth hoar mixed with thorn bushes under a thin crust layer, the entire upper snowpack was happy to slide off of this with a little leverage but did not go with a compression test.
