-2 degrees celsius at 9875' in the shade. FEW clouds. No blowing snow observed at any elevation band. Calm winds. No precipitation.
Snowpack
Very touchy snowpack. While excavating test pit (N, 9875'), load of shovelfuls of snow was enough to collapse and create loud whumphs. Two obvious buried surface hoar layers stuck out in the pit, pit location was an ideal SH farm. Buried SH at 38cm was observed up to 10mm in size. N-E aspects at the meadow had HS between 65-85cm, S-W facing aspects ranged from 30-65cm. South facing aspects below 9000' had small pinwheels and were melting down to dirt. Test results: ECTP4@38cm, ECTP5@38cm
