Warm day, air temp 0C. CLR, L. shedding layers quickly, lots of sunscreen and water at the ready. Beautiful day in the south san juan. No obvious signs of snow instability via visual or audible clues.

Snowpack

HS 160, Boot Pen 39cm, ski pen 21cm. Air temp 0c. Elevation 11,500ft on E/SE aspect. Time 1202. CT 12 and 15 @ 32cm down (slope 25) Q1. Reactive at new storm snow interface. Not as stubborn as expected. Later observed two avalanches D2. Estimated (02/07) shortly after last storm cycle. SS-N-R1-D2. Several slides in this zone observed (some old some new) This pitch has a tendency to draw you in, however, notorious as a frequent flyer.
