Skied to Balu col and back. Lots of traffic up in the Connaught across various lines from conservative to aggressive, but people well spaced and mindful of one another. Temperature inversion set in, protecting the long lasting snow quality. Did a hasty pit at the col. PWL obvious at approx 20 inches/50cm. Gave 'er the ol' slap on the shovel test. Failed on the fourth at the PWL. Good snow density below the PWL. Cloud cover made looking around difficult, but Frequent Flier has avied, running to just short of the creek. Looked like a possible slab release up high on Griz, but not sure (poor viz). No whumpfs or cracks, but did see evidence of snow separation here and there.
