Sun crusted, varied wind slabs, no snow pit was dug

Avalanche

East aspect, south gravel mountain at about 11,000 ft. Cornice dropped from a heavily wind blown ridge. When the cornice fell, the wind slab below slid about 300ft. More than likely natural slide, we were riding well below and away from the runout.
