Weather

light snow & wind throughout day / temps staring in mid 20s, dropped into teens by late afternoon.

Snowpack

dug pit on 33 degree E aspect @ 10300 feet BTL. HS 295 cm. two compression tests, both CTN. one extended column test, ECTX. continued loading on the ECT eventually produced a failure approx 65 cm from surface that propogated across width of column.

Avalanche

no whumphing, cracking or collapsing observed. no avalanches seen.
