Weather

Southern ridge od Red mtn no. 3 Aspect- SE ATL ~ 12,000 -12,500 Weather was windy with gusts between 30-40mph coming from the west. By the time we got up there the next wave of storms were starting to blow in.

Snowpack

Snowpack gave us hollow and creeky sounding snow when getting ATL. When digging the pit, the snowpack showed us that SE facing aspects are still to be avoided. Having stromg over weak layers from the sunny and calmer days and then having wind pick back up and having new snow be blown over from the west while creating a hard wind crust. Elevation ~ 12k-12.5k Aspect -SE
