Yoyo Turns in the East Bowl ofJimmy Simpson

Went up into the bowl on the East side of Jimmy Simpson today. Ski quality was better than expected but in only in gully features and localized low spots. Enough flurries and uphill and sideways wind transport has filled in these features and left a few 10cm deep powder turns for us to find amongst the hard slab. Some of these areas were firming up into a thin soft wind slab that was cracking 1-2 ft underfoot. Noted a couple small sloughs out of steep southeast facing rocks that looked a day or two old. Light flurries all day.
