Weather
Clear sky, cold temps and surface hoar development on shady aspects. Some blowing snow at ridge tops through the day but calm BTL. Intense solar radiation on sunny tilts with surfaces moistening down 3+ cm.
Snowpack
Two to three inches of settlement in the new snow. No signs of instability in the trees or open glades on slopes up to 35º where observed. HS averaged 120 to 135cm. Poor structure with a supportable and variable 1F to 4F mid-pack slab on 40cm of large basal facets. Test results did not inspire confidence for skiing consequential or unsupported terrain features.
