Weather
Sunny, clear and cool with NW breeze in the alpine.
Snowpack
Recent winds have left their mark in the alpine. Firm to hard surfaces dominate with some areas holding 2"-4" of new snow from the March 4th storm. The majority of recent wind loading occurred on north and easterly aspects, but lots of snow just blew away... Some areas felt drummy and hollow, though that was the exception and not the rule. No collapsing/cracking, nor fresh avalanches noted. While the snow structure remains suspect (layers of windslab punctuated by small faceted grains sitting on large faceted grains at the ground on shady slopes), the weak layers have become stubborn and avalanches difficult to trigger.
Avalanche
No fresh slides noted
