Snowpack

HS 17". HST 5"/0.5 SWE (measured). From LaPlata trailhead to gate, large alpine paths facing NNE have been largely stripped of snow above treeline. Gullies and protected portions of start zones are white. Tracks beginning near treeline are still rough with willows, trees and stumps exposed. Snow cover diminishes as you drive down the pass.
