Weather

Unseasonably warm temperatures, few clouds, and moderate wind above treeline.

Snowpack

Warm weather continues to affect the snowpack. On N and E slopes the slab is eroding and losing its ability to propagate. Southerly slopes were getting soft in the afternoon near and below treeline. The surface of the snowpack is firm on all slopes in the alpine. In general, conditions are variable from slope to slope. Keep on the lookout for slabs over weak-layers on all slopes steeper than 35 degrees. The hard part is not all slopes, even on the same aspect, are created equal, and it is variable from basin to basin. No cracking or collapsing observed.

Avalanche

No avalanche activity observed.
