Weather
it was snowing, probably 2-4" accumulation in the 4 hours we were there. This was on SSE, 11,200'. There were big gusts of wind even down at 11,000', and no set direction.
Snowpack
the new snow (3" during the night) isn't bonding to the old surface well at SSE, 11,200'. I didn't dig a pit but i'm guessing this was an old sun crust. On NE aspects it was much better, without as noticeable a layer
Avalanche
no avalanches, just wanted to let you know that southern aspects probably aren't bonding well.
