Not alot of new info to add to the existing recent MINs re snow and stability conditions in the Fraser area. In summary, the alpine is a wild mix of wind-affected and variable conditions out there. Throughout the day we encountered some dust on crust, some breakable crust, some really hard wind slab, some medium hard windslab, some sastrugi, some rhime... The snow in big kahuna was less preserved than hoped, mind you it had seen traffic the day before which factored into the run condition. No observed signs of instability, though on steeper northish facing slopes, a thin softer slab was breaking off the harder slab below, and on south aspects, any remaining dust was sluffing a bit off the hard windslab below. We spotted a duo skiing the south-west facing gully that runs from the top of Fraser Ridge to Bryant Lake and it looked like they had softer descent conditions than us (or maybe they’re just better skiiers and made it look good;)). Strong inversions continuing in WP with parking lot morning temp at -29 and what felt like -15 at Fraser summit.
