Parked a little further south than usual and tried to angle in to the lake, hit the river and of course it’s not bridged anyplace in that area. Ended up going to the lake to cross. Good try but the parking a little North is still better. About -10 all day light wind down low but lots off the high ridge. Lots of activity off the steep ridge most of the day nothing too big. Dug a pit at about 2200m CTM 12 RP down 35. Nice soft snow little over boot top. Skied great. Skied the steep pillows and small cliffs and could get this layer to go but only on steep rolls and only chunks under your skis. Seemed to be a small melt freeze crust lower on the slope in the trees but quite thin, could hear it more than feel while skiing. Wind picked up heading back across the lake but still only -10 very light snow around 4:30. Lots of tracks of course but a few lines left for the weekend. 😉 Blizzard at Lake Louise.
