We dug a pit to ground and we were happy to find a firm snow pack that is generally improving from continued warm temps. Very few notable layers with progressive change from softer snow on top to firmer below. Often this time of year the base of the snowpack is quite weak and we did not see that in the pit we dug today. The base was quite firm.
