Skied in the Surprise Pass area today. Snow was quickly turned to isothermal mush when I skied down at about 11am. Very sticky below 2100m. The temperature was likely just above zero even at 2500m. Weather was cloudy and foggy, with the occasional moderate sun poking through. Winds were calm between 1800m and my high point of 2500m, but did notice a couple small gusts. Lots of small natural slides coming off Mt Fairview as I skinned back across the very wet Lake Louise.
