Monday night into Tuesday was a good freeze. Temps warmed during the day. Winds began to elevate around noon and high cloud cover increased.
Snowpack
On north and north east aspects above treeline we observed around 20cm of settled but still fist or 4f hard storm snow which was still cold and not wetted. The snow was right side up and was well bonded to the old snow below. There were some small pockets where graupel was mixed into the snow but it was not widespread. Below the new snow was 1f and harder snow and a total snow depth of over 300cm. There were two dust layers about 80cm and 100cm down but there was no reactivity on them. On multiple ECT's we got no failures. On other aspects the surface was becoming soft down to about 10cm.
