Sunny, Warmed up considerably by 10am near the bottom of Hot Dog Cliffs, 43F at Montgomery Pass parking lot at 12:45pm. Winds were light below tree line from the west, 10-15 mph on the top of the Hot Dog Bowl.
Snowpack
Dug a pit near Hot Dog Cliffs. Total snow depth of 230cm, ~5cm of new snow from around 3/16 with small surface hoar development. 3/13-15 snow was 50cm deep sitting on significant crust. ECTN26, did not propagate. PST was not reactive. There was a significant dust layer near the bottom of the 3/13-15 new snow.
Avalanche
Wet loose avalanches were seen on northeasterly aspects but also seen along HWY14 on all aspects. Watched multiple small wet loose avalanches natural in the Hot Dog Cliffs area.
