11,640ft, Northeastern aspect, 39.350, -106.188 Wind speed was light going Southwest. There were few clouds. Temperature was -1C There was no precipitation today.

Snowpack

11,640ft, Northeast aspect, 39.350, -106.188 Depth of 55 HS cm Slope angle of 30 degrees. Observed a storm slab on top of about 35cm of faceted snow with the weak layer being this new snow on top of old snow. Performed compression tests with results of: CTE2 - Sudden planar 15cm below surface. CT12 - Resistant Planar near the surface ground. Surface hoar present on alll aspects.

Avalanche

11,640ft, Northeastern aspect, 39.350, -106.188 Observed the likelihood of storm slabs & loose dry sloughs above treeline. Increasing danger with wind loading on leeward facing slopes. Signs of instability were whumpfing on a 30 degree northeastern slope & visible avalanche activity in the area on 11/23.
