Weather

Winds light to moderate from the west. Temperature at the TH was 35F at 10:30 am and temperatures dropped slightly throughout the day. Light blowing snow. Partly cloudy with increasing cloud cover throughout the day.

Snowpack

Groups dug in two different areas; NE sheltered aspect at 10,400' and E wind affected aspect at 10,500'. The NE aspect group had a HS 75 cm with basal facets from 0-30 cm with fist hardness. Test results included ECT18 SC down 45 cm and CTH down 45 cm. The E aspect pits ranged from HS 48 cm and 85 cm with various wind slabs throughout the pack. The 48 cm pit had 10 cm of fist hard basal facets with a test results of CT20 down 36 cm. The 85 cm pit test results included a CT8 down 10 cm, CT22 down 20 cm and ECTX.
