Weather

Sunny and mild morning with North winds and light snow building in the afternoon.

Snowpack

Tests showed instabilities near the 2/2 melt freeze crust, propagating results with extended column tests on the fist hard facet/1 finger slab interface ~60cms down.

Avalanche

No avalanches observed on our tour, aside from sluffing new snow on steep slopes with solar exposure. However on our return to the parking lot another party reported witnessing a remotely triggered avalanche on Commodore, with no skiers caught or buried. See photos for more detail.
