Snowpack
On low-angle (less than 15 degrees) west-facing slopes the surface melt-freeze crust was breakable with wet snow underneath it. As the slope angle increased to about 25 degrees the surface melt-freeze crust was fully supportable to my weight with no cracking. About 4 inches of moist new snow rested on top of the crust with wind drifts up to 2 feet thick in some areas near treeline.
Avalanche
Observed a couple of old Loose Wet avalanches from earlier this week.
