Weather
Mostly S2 throughout the day with some periods of S5 and moderate to strong winds. At least 8 more inches of snow fell throughout the morning.
Snowpack
About 100 to 140 cm of new snow F hard (on the hand hardness scale) at the top, 4F hard in the middle, and 1F- hard by the bottom of the new snow. A snowpit at about 10,700 feet on an east aspect showed non-propagating failures within the new snow during extended column tests and measured 5.47 inches of snow water equivalent (SWE) within just the new snow - almost 5.5" SWE in less than 48 hours.
Avalanche
Very poor visibility throughout the day but I saw several new D1 to D2.5 (maybe a few D3) avalanches with every short visibility window. None of the avalanche paths along Raspberry Ridge put debris onto the quarry road but several debris piles made it within a couple hundred feet of the road.
