Snow Conditions
crusty, windAffected

About 10cm of new snow, underneath a layer of crust and under that a layer of facets. Poor visibility due to cloudy weather. Just after the apperent big, steeper face that starts of 7 steps of paradise we went directly skiers right at the glacier. The crevasses are open and due to bad visibility one partymember fell down and broke his leg. We had to haul him out with the help of the Park Canada rescue team. Be aware when skiing this line since the crevases are buildning their overhang downhill, leaving a few meters of air underneath you when standing at the lip at the crevasse.
