Light snow drifting in with light wind, We noticed variety of snows. Very thin in spots. Navigating very shallow rock bands to find better skiing. Lots of wind effect, found small pockets of leeward wind slabs. Able to produce small pocket slabs, sliding on some surface hoar. Propagating around d 10ish metres, crowns of 10ish cms. Early season conditions will funnel you into small terrain traps where snow is present. Gullies etc..Keep your head on a swivel! Closer to tree line, snow improved and rock field navigating reduced. Still lock of sharks in the dark

While performing small skier tests on small features we were able to trigger small wind slabs on some surface hoar. Present on Lee side of gully. Even small terrain will have lots of injury consequence with rock exposure and terrain traps.
