Up the Calazon

Great day in a new zone. Very variable surface snow conditions ranging from crust to facets to wind hammered sastrugi. Temperatures stayed below zero through the whole day with no signs of instability in the snowpack witnessed. There has been a ton of wind in the area over the last 2 weeks creating a huge variety of snow conditions throughout the alpine and at tree line.
