Mount Field

Great conditions on Mt Field, boot top powder in the alpine meadows below the headwall, 15cm SP on the headwall and upper pitch to the summit. Most old tracks are filled in and made for some fun skiing. Small slab out of steep terrain, sz 1.5 on a NE aspect only avy obs noted, presumed either wind/storm and thin. Day was cloudy with intermittent sunny breaks, mostly being broken skies. Light NE winds, no snow transport at ridgetop. New snow did not appear to have any slab properties. We were the only party in the area. Shortcut skin track is in decent shape!
