Not a backcountry report but thought it may be relevant. I had results on hand shears on South aspects on Hosmer trail at ~1800m the day before (12/17/2024) with ~5cm sliding on buried surface hoar. This slide triggered on locally steep terrain near bushes and I was caught and carried for 20m. Skis up to my knees were buried and required digging out. I was caught in another smaller avalanche an hour earlier in locally steep terrain about 150m higher up in the trees on the same aspect in sheltered areas.
