Guides day out. Decent ski conditions up the S2S today. Some wind pressed snow and punchy 10cm windslabs exist in the exposed alpine with conditions improving in sheltered alpine and towards TL and BTL with right side up snowpack and 35-50cm rapidly settling storm snow overlying the Dec 21st crust. Moist snow at around 1300m. Quick profile N aspect at 1500m showing hard sudden planar results down 40cm on the melt-freeze crust. HS 180cm. Lots of avalanche activity over the previous 48h, with most paths running during or shortly after the storm. The run Cleavage pulled wall to wall size 3. Exit gully had old debris at the bottom with fresh snow overlying. Most crown lines were seen in the more exposed alpine start zones with activity tapering at lower elevations.
