Ski cut the top of Niccy’s Notch, resulting in a small size 1 slab avalanche, pretty much all the top section of the couloir went and stop a little bit lower in the opening section. Lots of wind when we were on top of Cheops ridge, we almost had to bail because of the whiteout condition but a short window came by and gave us the opportunity to ski down by couloir. The middle of the couloir where the slide occurred was feeling pretty firm and crusty but was providing good enough grip to manage some turns.
