Snowpack

Rico paths above ponds. N80W, 39 degree slope, 9800 ft. 90cm snowpack. Surface hoar and RR grains at surface. NSFC to 56cm. Crust above old snow at 32-35cm with 3-4mm depth hoar below. The weakest layer was just below the crust of the old snow in facets. ECTP-17 Q1 SP. No whumping or other signs, but 2 pits showed ECTP-17 Q1. I would call it scary moderate. Tough to trigger but a good 2 feet of slab with densities from 165-225 kg/m3
