Snowpack
Above treeline, we found a thin windslab in exposed areas with minor cracking. In a very sheltered couloir, about a foot of settled powder rested on an older, very hard but thin windslab above some faceted/ mixed form grains. Numerous CTs at different locations showed hard initiation and moderate shear quality with no propagation in ECTs in the faceted layer (~16" down on average). We skied slope without signs of instability and very minimal sluffing. Below treeline, the snowpack is very shallow and nearly homogeneously faceted, except on solar aspects.
