Snowpack

Snowpack remains shallow and faceted on shady west aspects with about a foot of new, settling snow above capped by a thin layer of near-surface facets. Stability tests showed moderate and hard failures at the interface of the new/old snow and in more developed depth hoar near the ground, respectively, but very poor quality shears and no propagation in either layer. In general, the weaknesses are thick and lack energy given the current load.
