Weather

hawaiian. 46F at TH at 1pm windy up high, big plumes from ridges.

Snowpack

s facing: upper layers becoming moist by noon. basal facets, surface hoar, rounding facets, rounds/decomposing grain.

Avalanche

S Face, first path to cross standard road approach to graham/mtn boy area. HS-N-R4-D3. Started >TL. Full track, filled creek bed. Couldn't (easily) get to crown, but looked to have started in wind/storm slab, possible cornice fall. Then stepped down into suspected rounding facet/surface hoar/basal facet interface. In 7 years of skiing this area, I've never seen this one run as far or wide!
