Snowpack
The snowpack on below treeline E facing slopes above McClure is thin and weak. Average depth is around 40-50 cms and is all facets with the exception of a M/F crust near the ground, and a layer of SH buried around 20 cm down. The crust, and a 4F hard layer of older snow above it, provide enough support to allow skiing, but foot pen is to ground. Overall, the snowpack here lacks structure, and will be easily overloaded with additional snow.
