Weather

Balmy (50°F air temp) and sunny with cloud/temperature inversion (in Nederland 38° comparably). Ca 11,500'.

Snowpack

Slushy and wet on all aspects with breakable surface crust between 11-12k. Heavy, deep, snow above 12,000' sticking to steep slopes. Expect postholing without skis.

Avalanche

Numerous loose wet avalanches running on all aspects N through S facing. Some large and powerful, others slow moving on low angle terrain. Falling rocks triggering many slides. Large rollerballs on all aspects. Many slides seen triggered in small pockets/rock outcroppings. East faces most affected.
