Snowpack

We were hiking from Montgomery Reservoir to Clinton last Saturday. Turned back at Wheeler Lake about 9am because we didn't like the looks of the snow. Good choice. Saw seven large (many hundreds of feet) natural slides between 9am and 3pm --- three on the NE face of Democrat, two on the N face of Lincoln, one on the south slopes of Clinton (which hit our planned path, so we definitely chose wisely to turn back), and one on the SE slopes of Traver. Also saw a dozen or so moderate natural slides, and countless smaller ones.
