Snowpack

1 to 3 foot snow pack, poles tests showed a couple of inches of depth hoar at the bottom and possible other layers (dug no pits). Some wumpfing. multiple 5-10 shooting cracks in top layer of snow when skiing in upper layer of snowpack. Snow felt somewhat "punchy" when skiing. Multiple point release sluffs in steeper terrain. One small soft slab (7x10x1.5) set loose when isolated by ski tracks on both sides. Saw the remains of a 100' wide by 100' tall by 1' deep slide our partner triggered remoteley yesterday in 40+ terrain. We skiied right next to it on just slightly lower angle terrain, only sluffs. Observations from today made yesterdays slide seem somewhat suprising (snow didn't feel like it would create a slide like that, the instability was there but the slab seemed to weak to propagate that far). All skiing NE facing and below TL.
