Weather
Clouds in the early morning quickly cleared making for a bluebird day. Temperatures went from the teens at 8 AM to about 30 degrees by the time I left. It felt much warmer with the lack of wind.
Snowpack
Northerly aspects still contains a layered snowpack and in isolated areas the lower-half of the snowpack is very weak. The upper-half of the snowpack is very strong and there is no evidence of any weakness directly beneath storm snow from the last few days.---East and southerly aspects have a few inches of snow on an old crust. The snow became moist today and there were numerous small Loose Wet avalanches but most of these avalanches would be harmless unless you were taken off your feet in consequential terrain.---Old slabs of wind-drifted snow are becoming more stubborn and I saw no signs of instability on wind-loaded slopes.
Avalanche
I was able to see a good bit of terrain and I did not see any recent large avalanches. There were many Loose Wet avalanches on south and southeast aspects but just in rocky steep terrain and all were small.
