Went to investigate a remotely triggered avalanche reported on an East aspect yesterday that broke approx 16" down. Visibility was obscured by heavy snow and clouds, but it looked like the slide was completely filled back in. We produced easy hand shears on a buried surface hoar layer directly above a crust buried approx 30cm down on a SE aspect at 10800' above the slope where the party reported remotely triggering the slide yesterday. During the day we felt a few subtle collapses. Snow depth in the area was between 140-185cm with an average around 170cm.
